This year I have learned how to analyze literature, how to lead a class, and how to write different sentence patterns. Until I became a sophomore, I have not analyzed a passage and write about it the way I had during my sophomore year. Because of that, it still takes me a long time to analyze a passage, but I do know what I have to do. I also learned how to lead a class for the entire 70~75 minutes. The discussion leader project was very new to me, yet I believe that it helped me a lot to understand the novels. Moreover, the project allowed me to improve on identifying themes of the book. During English 10, the part that made me have the hardest time was identifying themes. By doing the discussion leader project, I was able to find themes with less trouble. Lastly, I learned how to write different sentence patterns. In the past, I did not have a lot of different sentence patterns, but now I have more diversity; in other words, the sentence patterns we practiced every beginning of class, paid off.
